Monterey Mushrooms, Inc. has 10 farms strategically placed around North America to provide all US cities with fresh, locally-grown mushrooms year round. Our 220 acre (90 hectare) farm in Mexico is located in San Miguel de Allende in the Eastern part of the state of Guanajuato. It is the largest mushroom growing facility in all of Mexico and includes a cannery and processing facility.

On the farm we grow about 30 million pounds of mushrooms each year. In addition, we process several products including mushrooms, sweet corn, chickpeas and beans. Our processed products can be purchased in cans or pouches. Our distribution centers are located in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. We are proud of our leadership in the industry, our innovation, our commitment to food safety and our employees.

Food Safety

Champiñones San Miguel is a subsidiary of Monterey Mushrooms, Inc. and adheres to the same food safety standards as our facilities in the United States. We also adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as outlined in the FDA’s Code of Federal Regulations and follow the guidelines of the Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point program (HACCP).

All Monterey Mushroom, Inc. facilities adhere to a three tier audit program conducted according to the requirements of MGAP and GMPs.
